In a relationship, when is honesty not the best policy? How do you balance what you want versus what you need, and is there something you need to say to your spouse but can't find the right way to say it? If so, then you're in the right place. This is the Lunch with Sandy podcast. With nearly 20 years of marriage under their belts, Terrance and Sandy Jackson discuss a range of topics, provide valuable insights on relationships and talk about the conversations married couples need to have. So what does lunch have to do with all of this? Well, it's a metaphor for how these conversations originally started. Speaking of conversations, let's get one going. Here's your hosts, Terrance and Sandy.

Terrance:

Welcome to another episode of the Lunch with Sandy podcast, where we delve into different topics and provide perspective from two people who've been married for a long time. I'm Terrance.

Terrance:

And I'm Sandy and today we're going to do something for the seniors because I don't think they get enough done for them. But before we get into that, we want to remind you to follow the Lunch with Sandy podcast on your favorite podcasting nap, and you can follow us on all social media at lunch with Sandy. Speaking of Sandy what up Sandy? What is going on with Sandy today?

Sandy:

I'm uh. I wish I had spent more time outside today. It was such a beautiful day and I need to sometimes just be outside.

Terrance:

Well, when opportunity knocks, you need to open a door and take advantage of it.

Sandy:

I know and I didn't.

Terrance:

It seemed like you were running for a very, very long time today. I was about to text you and then you ended up texting me.

Sandy:

Uh, I wasn't even running. I had been home, showered in the hot tub.

Terrance:

Well, when you texted me, but I was awake before then.

Sandy:

Anywho, yeah, when I had texted you, I had already been home, for I think, well, I think I got home just as you went out into the hot tub.

Terrance:

Oh, all right, well, listen. And now you know all right, let's get to what we got to talk. Well, let's get to what we got to talk about today. So we've been married for a long time and with being married, there's certain things that you don't have to worry about until, of course, you're no longer married. And then you got to get back in the game. But because we are not in the game, we don't have to worry about whether or not the rules are designed to cater to us. And you might be wondering what am I talking about when I talk about the rules?

Terrance:

It's a different game out there now. When you're out there dating now and we've talked about this in previous episodes you have a lot more options from the perspective of you ain't got to meet somebody at church. It ain't always about someone you know giving you a referral or a friend or whatever. They have all these ways of you connecting with people. But I think a lot of these new features or new ways of connecting are geared toward a younger audience, and I don't mean younger than us, I mean in general. If you're talking about you know, I'm going to say 50 and below a lot of that stuff is geared toward them. But what about the seniors? Okay, I don't think.

Sandy:

Don't think I'm like botchy or something Bingo.

Terrance:

What the hell are you talking about?

Sandy:

I mean, like you know, I'm talking about me, somebody at church, I'm thinking more like botchy or bingo.

Terrance:

We're talking about making love connections here. When I talk about botchy or bingo, you can't say that too loud around old people because then they get excited they could go and win some money and they start screaming.

Sandy:

Maybe you can make a love connection there. I don't know.

Terrance:

So can you name me a couple of dating apps.

Sandy:

Oh, not really, Because I know I've heard the names of them. Was this like plenty of?

Terrance:

fish, plenty of fish. There's matchcom. I know there used to be one called Cupid or whatever, but if you're a seasoned vet in this game, I don't know how much of that is actually geared toward you. I don't know how much of the it's not just a dating game. I'm going to talk about the dating game first. I don't know how much of that is catered toward seniors or how much seniors see themselves in those apps.

Sandy:

So one of the things I even think about is just even the technology of it. Like I'm curious to know if a lot of seniors even like using dating apps.

Terrance:

Well you know, whether or not they like it. We can't go around with stone tablets trying to pick up. They pick people up, so the technology piece may be a challenge, but I think nowadays we're getting to a point where you know, as generations move on, one constant is everyone still gets older, so you can be in a situation where now you're starting, you're used to using technology and for those individuals who are at that level where they're seasoned enough and they still know how to use technology, I think we should put in some effort To look at these dating apps and come up with dating apps that are geared toward our seniors.

Sandy:

Yeah, because you know life doesn't stop.

Terrance:

That's right and I have done just that. I have some concepts of some dating apps.

Sandy:

I'm sure they're going to be fabulous that.

Terrance:

I think we need to investigate and try to find a space, a safe space, so our seniors can get together and mingle.

Sandy:

So does it have to be just like romantic relationships, or can it even be just trying to find new friends?

Terrance:

I mean listen as long as you determine or let people know what your intentions are from the beginning, anything's possible.

Sandy:

I feel like the older we get, sometimes it's even harder to make friends. You know for it not, that sounds really probably anti social right now I think what like have friends that have like common. You know, I think, what activities.

Terrance:

Yeah, I think what happens is this we tend to get into situations where we have a certain group of people who were used to being around and we stick with that group and when you don't venture out again, father time is undefeated. When you don't venture out and someone's number is called, yeah.

Terrance:

Eventually, you might end up being the last one. So you got two options before you become the last one, you got to bring some new people into the crew, or when you become the last one, you got to find a way to get out there and make things happen. So I was thinking about, you know, the appeal of some of these apps, and some of these names may make sense, some of them may not. But I'm going to shoot my shot and I'm going to give you some concepts of some of the things I came up with. So imagine this the app is called Silver Connections.

Sandy:

Okay, you get it Silver.

Terrance:

Connections, and I even came up with some taglines for some of these.

Sandy:

Okay.

Terrance:

For Silver Connections where wisdom meets winks. Silver Connections is the dating app for those who believe love only gets better with age. Connect over shared experiences, reminisce about the good old days and enjoy the beauty of growing old together.

Sandy:

Where do the winks come from? Instead of like likes, are you going to get like a wink?

Terrance:

Winks. You know old people don't know about likes Back in the day. You know what they would do. When they see somebody, they get them a wink. How many people, you know, still wink. How many people under the age of 45, you know, still wink. None you see grandpops at the bar. He looking at you. He might send you a wink.

Sandy:

You know I'm going to go to the bar now and go look for that.

Terrance:

Yeah, listen, you need to invest in Silver Connections. Okay, Look.

Sandy:

I want to get winked at sure.

Terrance:

Listen, I'm talking. I might have some money makers here.

Sandy:

Yeah, you might.

Terrance:

You know what I mean. So Silver Connections I didn't mention this term earlier because I knew that I came up with one that had to do with it. But you know what happens when you hit 50, you start getting all those letters from AARP.

Sandy:

Oh good, I know it's pretty sad.

Terrance:

So I was thinking, I was like oh, you know what, I need a catchy name.

Sandy:

Okay.

Terrance:

I need a name that is familiar to seniors, so you know they'll gravitate toward it and won't scare them away, and I came up with AARP date, mate.

Sandy:

When I look at AARP, I'm like I'm not there yet. You want to see?

Terrance:

Well, for the AARP date mate, age ain't really a problem. You get it Uh-huh. Age ain't really a problem that AARP date mate. We cater to the young at heart, connecting AARP members in a fun and secure environment. Find someone who appreciates your life experience and zest for living Old people like the term zest. Some lemon zest is all I think about. When you say zest, but See, I'm going to tell you what needs to happen.

Sandy:

What's that?

Terrance:

You need to spend more time with seniors so you get to know that Apparently and you get to understand what it is they like. If you're going to be a part of this business venture with me, you got to start doing your part. We'll spend some time at the senior centers. You got to promote these.

Sandy:

Okay.

Terrance:

Now you know current date.

Sandy:

I'm going to take a day out of work. I'm going to hang out at the senior center.

Terrance:

So when you're on a current dating app and I know you're not, but you should know this if you like someone, what do you do? Wink. That's going to be silver connections. It's going to be about the wink In the current dating apps. What do you do? Swipe right or left. There you go, swipe right or left. Which one's right? I don't know. I like the right.

Sandy:

I don't know, I don't like the left, I think swipe, right, I'll have to look into that. I'll set up a profile just to check it out.

Terrance:

Anyway, senior sizzle swipe. For those who still sizzle, swipe right on senior sizzle swipe. Embrace the fire within as you connect with fellow flames who believe age is just a number. Get ready for passion, laughter and unforgettable moments.

Sandy:

I like the sizzle part, at least Sizzle swipe right. Is this people that are just facing their swipes on looks?

Terrance:

Listen, these are the high, older people. Yeah, I'll be there. These are the people who aren't going to be at. Look, when I start thinking about these concepts and I say, okay, well, I want to make sure that the seniors are comfortable. I got to think about all of them.

Sandy:

The people who are on the AARP date may. There's definitely some good looking ones out there still.

Terrance:

They probably ain't going to be on the senior sizzle swipe. There's certain I might have to put certain parameters in there that you have to meet to make sure that you can be in the senior sizzle swipe.

Sandy:

Are you going to have AI rate you on a scale of one to 10 and only?

Terrance:

those six or more are able to sign up. You definitely have to upload a picture, and we got to verify that it's actually you, and then we got to verify your age.

Sandy:

So are we allowing Um younger demographic.

Terrance:

No seniorism. This is. This is not a place for you to go find your fetish for older people.

Sandy:

Or what about older people's fetish for younger people?

Terrance:

Oh, that's what they're in. Listen. Listen. Lives about choices. You know, then you want to go find younger people, or I wanted them younger. I'm doing this for the seniors. This is for the seasoned group of people out there, so they have their own stuff.

Sandy:

Cause? Yeah, I'm thinking more like something like an app called like find your cougar here, or something like that. Listen, listen, like you know, for those older ladies who are looking for, you know, some younger men.

Terrance:

First off, you can use regular apps for that, but I will allow your submission as an app, as long as you come up with the right tagline for it. You can't just throw a name out there.

Sandy:

Cougars are us, I don't know.

Terrance:

No, you gotta have a line that basically says what the app is, who it's for and all that other good stuff, see.

Sandy:

Okay, I'll work on it. What was?

Terrance:

the name of it Cougars are us what?

Sandy:

No, at first I said find your cougar here.

Terrance:

Find your cougar here. That sounds like a listen. That doesn't sound like where a match is made. That sounds like where a date is made, and it's not about connections, it's about a connect.

Sandy:

I'll work on it yeah All right, I'm taking all submissions and ideas.

Terrance:

Yeah, and all these names. They're just works in progress.

Sandy:

Okay, right.

Terrance:

What happens when you reach a certain age? You say this all the time what do you want to do within the next Retire? Yeah, yep, and so.

Sandy:

I'd love to retire now, when you retire and you're by yourself. I'm not going to be by myself, but yeah, go, let's go.

Terrance:

Then when you're looking for a match, you can go on to retiree rendezvous.

Sandy:

Cool.

Terrance:

Rendezvous yeah, yeah. At retiree rendezvous we celebrate the freedom of retirement and the joy of newfound connections. Discover compassion, ship share travel stories and plan your next adventure with a like-minded retiree.

Sandy:

See that that would be an app that I would think more for. Like hey, I want to start traveling to all the different beaches out there in the world and since you don't really like beaches, I need to find somebody to travel with.

Terrance:

No Retiree rendezvous. You know that whole rendezvous that's a pick that you. That's making a connection right there.

Sandy:

Yeah.

Terrance:

Yeah, listen, you can go on retiree rendezvous. You definitely going to, not, you're not going to have a ring on your finger. Listen what we can split up. No, it's fine. And now I can go and be the founder of all these apps, although I'm not at that place yet.

Sandy:

I'll just find a girlfriend.

Terrance:

Yeah, find yourself a girlfriend Now. I couldn't. I couldn't start thinking of apps for seniors without throwing this word in for one of them, because you know what do I say? I am all the time Vintage, vintage, vintage. Vibes match comes in and listen, and here's the description on earth the timeless charm of vintage vibes maps. This app is perfect for those who appreciate the classics, whether it's music, movies or love stories. I don't know about the love story piece, but anyway, join and discover love. That gets better with every passing year. I get better with every passing year. So when we start talking about these apps, I got to appeal to those people who are like minded, like me.

Sandy:

Oh, so you're signing up for all these apps?

Terrance:

No, Okay, but as the creator, I have to make sure that I have something for everybody out there. Again, I don't think there's enough out there that focuses on the seniors and that's look I tell people all the time. You remember the movie robots? See a need, fill a need. I'm just filling a need. I'm out here working for these people out here.

Sandy:

Yeah, no, I'm glad you're thinking about your seniors. We need to think more about our seniors.

Terrance:

You know what other area we don't put enough thought in or when I say we when we start talking about everything that these young folks do today. There's another area where it's lacking, or I don't feel that they actually have a place that they can call their own, and it's social media.

Sandy:

Yeah haven't they taken over Facebook.

Terrance:

Well, I don't know if they've taken over Facebook. I think that's where a lot of the older people go, but again, facebook wasn't designed for them.

Terrance:

No, but they've that's where I come in Again see a need, fill a need. So I, just like I've done with the dating apps, I've come up with some concepts for social media for the older generation. Okay, and the first one I want to talk to you about is GrandGram, when every post is a proud grandparent moment. Grandgram is the social media app for sharing family stories, wisdom and the joys of being a grandparent. Embrace the grand life.

Sandy:

Yeah. So for the people who don't have grandchildren, this is not where you'd want to be. No, because you get tired of other people.

Terrance:

Listen, there's no, there's not going to be any verification on whether or not you're a grandparent. Maybe you like looking at other people's grandchildren, you want to sign up for the app, but this is giving them a space where they can be proud grandparents, grandgram.

Sandy:

Well, I feel like even now, with some of the social media, people like I'm tired about hearing and seeing about either your kids, your dog.

Terrance:

Funny story, so funny story. The other day we were at work At least this one is tailored.

Terrance:

I'm not going to say any names, but it's funny because some people who worked for me they came over and they said if someone so tells me one more story or shows me one more picture of her grandson, I'm going to lose my mind. Hey, grandgram, yeah, no one's going to complain about you talking about or posting pictures of your grandchild For grandparents. I'm there for you, grandparents. Now, this one, it's, it's. The name in this one is I'm just going to say the name Boomer Book.

Sandy:

Is this for the baby boomer generation?

Terrance:

Listen, connect with old friends, share stories and reminisce about the good old days on Boomer Book. It's the social media network where every post begins with back in my day.

Sandy:

I walked uphill both ways to school.

Terrance:

We have all these names for these different generations, and the baby boomers were one of them. How come they can't have their own social media book? Now, what this is doing is is providing an application or a space for everyone. So if you don't want to be mixed in and see all the listen, I was telling you the other day about X, this new Twitter.

Sandy:

Yeah.

Terrance:

Listen, it's getting rough on there, it's bad on there. I told you they had all of this stuff on in one day. What they did was, I think, that they started to realize that a lot of the stuff was going on, and so what started to happen was they started just saying that this is this post contains content that's not allowed on here, and so all the stuff was kind of gone. And then the last couple of days, boop it's good they're all back again.

Terrance:

It's coming back. I think it's tough to keep up with that stuff. When you start, you know when, what, what. What Elon Musk did he went in there and he got rid of a lot of restrictions, fired a lot of people, and now it's open. People are putting whatever they want to put on there. So you can't do that. I'm boom, boom, boom book and speaking of X, how about silver tweets? Tweeting with a touch of silver? Get it A touch of silver. Silver Tweets is the platform where age comes with the advantage of wisdom.

Terrance:

Share your thoughts in 280 characters, that's a lot of characters already and let the world know what's on your seasoned mind.

Sandy:

I'm trying to really think about how many characters 280 are.

Terrance:

That might still be too much. Most names are like 30 characters, so 280 is not a lot 280.

Sandy:

Yeah, first and last.

Terrance:

I think most of the Isn't like 1000 characters. The max on most of those I have no idea.

Sandy:

280 is not a lot, I'm trying to Silver Tweets, although when you said speaking of X, I wasn't thinking about the form of Twitter, I was thinking like X, like. Is there any apps made specifically?

Terrance:

for Twitter. Oh X, you're thinking DX Listen.

Sandy:

This social media site is for you to just solely complain about your X.

Terrance:

Say again, I thought that when I'm laying out this content for this episode, I'm looking at this and I'm saying there's no way Sandy can go to the dark side. You just found a way to go to the dark side. We are not working on. Well, because, yeah, if you have an app about talking about your X, that's dark, that's negative. We're not investing or working on any concept of an app for your X.

Sandy:

Where you vent on your X. Yeah, okay, fine.

Terrance:

That was shot down. Yeah, that's shot down.

Sandy:

But I'm still working the cooler one.

Terrance:

Well, listen, don't bring anything to my shop. That's not worked out. Okay yeah, because it's going to get axed. So you know how you have Snapchat and the pictures disappear For the season. Folks out there, we got SnapGrey. Now I don't want nobody to sue me. These are all just made up, but SnapGrey captures life's moments. With SnapGrey, share snaps of your daily adventures, whether it's grandparenting, whether it's gardening, bird watching or just enjoying a good book, because gray is the new black. Good. Now you know gray was really the new black.

Sandy:

I don't know if you should go with gray, because that makes me just think of like 50 shades of gray.

Terrance:

Well, no, there you go, Gray here. What happens when you become gray?

Sandy:

here We'll start with the. I think you stick with the silver on that one.

Terrance:

No, SnapGrey.

Sandy:

Silver Snap.

Terrance:

We had silver tweets. Some people don't like being referred to as being silver. Some people embrace the gray. Again, I have to tell you I'm here for all audiences. These concepts are for everyone. I'm not leaving anybody out. And if I did leave?

Announcer:

someone out.

Terrance:

that's because I didn't have enough time to come up with a concept for you. The next time I'll make sure I get you in there Now. I love this one. I put a lot of thought into this one. Chewy Connections, the dating app where every smile tells a story, whether you're a denture devotee or a sparkling smile enthusiast. Our platform is about finding someone who makes your heart skip a beat, not your teeth. Listen.

Sandy:

You know if I thought it was going to be like, for you know, the silver with pets.

Terrance:

No, not that kind of Chewy. You can have some. What's the term I'm looking for? You can be self-conscious if you don't have all your teeth, but just as you may not have your teeth, there are others out there like you. Chewy Connections is a platform that brings you together. It allows you to go out there and feel confident, because the teeth in your mouth may not be yours, but in the person you're talking to it's probably not theirs either.

Sandy:

My goodness, well, I can picture. It's like old people switching, swapping dentures.

Terrance:

Listen, you know what you didn't have to say it, you got my teeth.

Sandy:

You didn't have to say it.

Terrance:

So the funny thing is when I start to think about, you know, people getting old and knock on wood, not myself, but the first thing if someone, what is one of the first things you think someone has to have replaced when they get old?

Sandy:

And well, their hips, there you go.

Terrance:

Their hips, and I've come up with a concept for those people who may have had to have their hip replaced, and it's called hip to heart, where the beats of your heart and the rhythm of your hips find the perfect match, the go-to destination for those who know that love, like a well done hip replacement, should be smooth, sturdy and make you want to dance.

Sandy:

Oh goodness.

Terrance:

Hip to heart.

Sandy:

That is honestly one of the reasons why I stopped going to school for physical therapy.

Terrance:

Because you was going to have to have a hip replace.

Sandy:

No, because I was working at the hospital and all it was was old people with hip replacements. And I was like is this all physical therapy is, but I should have stuck with it because it's not.

Terrance:

You should have stuck with it, because then you could have brought something to the table when I started talking about these social media apps, and I would have had plenty of people to refer to. R&d. Here's the thing you got to learn to work with me, not against me. You could have been out there in the field doing research and bringing potential clients in, because you would have had to connect. That's right. You know what I mean. Step your game up.

Sandy:

No, it's just taking too much to get that degree and get into that.

Terrance:

Now, do you remember when you were younger and you used to go to the club?

Sandy:

Oh yes.

Terrance:

And I didn't say the club, I said the club, the club.

Sandy:

Mm-hmm.

Terrance:

After you hit a certain age, you just stopped going. Why? Because it's not made for people after you hit a certain age, mm-hmm. But why does that have to be the case?

Sandy:

I don't know. I feel like there should still be clubs out there for the older generation. They like to dance too.

Terrance:

You're right, they do and drink, and so I've come up with some club concepts for seniors.

Sandy:

Okay.

Terrance:

Now let's get right into them. The first one. The first one is called Boogie Blast Ballroom. You know a lot of old people like the ballroom dance, so at this place, every dance move comes with a side of sophistication. Boogie Blast Ballroom is the ultimate dance destination for those who appreciate the elegance of a well executed twirl. Get ready to swing and sway and style at the Boogie Blast Ballroom.

Sandy:

Except the hours are only from 4 to 6 PM. What was that I said, except that the hours are only from 4 to 6 PM?

Terrance:

No.

Sandy:

You know, us older people, we don't like to be out late.

Terrance:

First off, I'm vintage Don't include me in that and I can be out till 7.38. I don't know what the 6 PM thing is. I'll be lumping me in with the rest of you old folks. This other one I'm going to skip over because I didn't really feel that one. But you know which one I did feel the Silver Shuffle Social Shuffle into the night at the Silver Shuffle Social.

Sandy:

Say that 10 times fast.

Terrance:

This club is all about bringing together the coolest cats who know their age is just a number, and so is their dance table, is it?

Sandy:

cats with a K.

Terrance:

Nah, that's cats with a C, Cats with a K. I don't know what that is.

Sandy:

I don't know.

Terrance:

Why'd you bring it up then?

Sandy:

I don't know, it just looks cool, I think.

Terrance:

All right, we're going to get back into these names because there's one other piece that I got to get to. How about this Twist and turn tavern? You notice all of these names are for when I started coming up with these names, I was thinking about the older generation, as it is now, because a lot of these people don't know I mean, a lot of younger people don't know what twist and turn is. But at the twist and turn tavern, it's time for the twist and turn tavern. Grab a partner and hit the floor for some classic dance move. Our DJ spends tunes that transcends generations, making every night a dance through time. What do you think about twist and turn tavern?

Sandy:

I think some of these names are very hard to say. Really fast, they are very hard to say.

Terrance:

And you know, the thing about it is, I don't know if the seniors are going to be able to say any of these names, but I think they can look at it as a game and have a good time, and that'll bring them in.

Sandy:

Although when you did say twist and turn Silver shuffle social. It did make me think of like salsa, where you can have Mexican food and dance the night away.

Terrance:

And then have to run to the bathroom. No, all right, I got another one, not.

Sandy:

Tahoe Bell.

Terrance:

No, listen, I don't need that stuff anyway. Groovy Grandpa's Club Just for grandpas. Listen, if you're looking for a grandpa, this is where you're going to go. Dust off those dancing shoes and join the Groovy Grandpa's Club. This is where the hipest seniors come out to bust the move and show the world that age is no barrier to getting down on the dance floor.

Sandy:

Except for their replacement hip, yeah, yeah you know, what.

Terrance:

When we start designing these clubs, we got to think about making sure that they're accessible, that we probably have some medical staff on hand and maybe the floor, and maybe we need I don't know.

Sandy:

I'm sorry if we're offending anybody.

Terrance:

So the idea behind this is to come up with concepts that work. So it's not about offending anyone, it's about being real. We need to make sure that if someone gets down on the floor, they ain't got to press their life alert button for someone to come help them up.

Sandy:

They're like, you're making me sound like I'm 90. That's you going down a negative road.

Terrance:

What they're saying is I appreciate someone trying to come up with something that's going to work for me.

Sandy:

See, I see the positive in everything.

Terrance:

You know what else doesn't work for seniors? I don't think. When we start talking about the new way that people will get around, transportation works for them. How many seniors you see in an Uber? They used to take in taxis. So I'm going to come up with some concepts for transportation for seniors Vintage voyages.

Terrance:

So they just came in Uber Step into our time traveling rides and experience the nostalgia of each journey through vintage voyages. Our drivers are like personal tour guides, providing not just rides but a trip down memory lane. Expect laughter stories and perhaps a classic tune or two during your travels.

Sandy:

Is this like, especially for us where we live? People like to talk about what used to be there. Remember when that used to be the blank, so listen.

Terrance:

Your tour guide, as he drives down the road, can tell you where all the old um that's where the Benny's used to be Exactly. All the old Benny's, the uh, what was? Yeah, al Max, I mean, there's still a couple of shawls every year, every uh. There's still a couple of shawls in other places, but yes, that's the idea your tour guide can start telling you about all the things, and you listen, you know you know, yeah, all people like to talk and I got to stop calling them old people, seniors. Enjoy a nice conversation.

Sandy:

Now my brain is stuck on like what the other toy store was.

Terrance:

That's not important because, unless you're going to be one of the tour guides, you don't need to know that information and right now.

Sandy:

I don't know if I'd hire you. Is my next job. I don't know if I hire you.

Terrance:

You go to, you go to negative. I may hire you for this one though. Okay, elderly express rides. Embark on a journey of comfort and companionship with elderly express rides. My drivers are experts in the art of easy conversation and showing that every ride feels like a chat with an old friend. Enjoy the scenic route of life with us.

Sandy:

Is that because you think I can?

Terrance:

You like chatting, you do.

Sandy:

Do I.

Terrance:

Yes, you do. I don't think I do. You don't want to admit it, but you're chatty, you're like a chatty.

Sandy:

Cathy With the people I know, maybe Well get to know small people.

Terrance:

Listen, you have the connect. You used to work in physical therapy, used to work on a lot of hip replacement seat. Again, this is where you have to contribute.

Sandy:

That's what made me depressed and why I didn't go into that career. No, listen.

Terrance:

All right Well how about this? One here Great carriage gigs.

Sandy:

It's not, so I'm guessing it's not just a carriage.

Terrance:

Hop on board the great carriage for a ride that feels like a royal affair. I'm not talking about that type of fare. Our drivers are dedicated to making your transportation experience elegant and memorable. It's not just a ride. It's a journey fit for kings and queens.

Sandy:

So I'm thinking like a black car service.

Terrance:

I mean, it doesn't have to be black.

Sandy:

You said royal, yeah you know it was a car itself doesn't need to be black Are you saying to people no, oh, my goodness.

Terrance:

Listen, I'm trying to follow you here. I got a couple more, but I'm going to do like one or two and then we'll close this up. So I'm going to go with Oldie oldie no, that one's too hard Silver's. Sandy:

I was thinking more of like an amusement park ride.

Terrance:

They're like swerving in and out of traffic.

Sandy:

No, seniors don't like beyond ride and this again, swerving in out of traffic speeding.

Terrance:

You couldn't be hired for this company here.

Sandy:

Make it like an amusement park, but with a ride.

Terrance:

Well, I might give you two more.

Sandy:

But Maybe more like golf carts.

Terrance:

Listen. Why can't a senior have the wind blow through their hair?

Sandy:

Do? They may lose it, I don't know.

Terrance:

No one said who said they got a hair piece on.

Sandy:

That's one of the other things that some people lose.

Terrance:

Listen. Bald people should be able to feel the wind on their head too.

Sandy:

You said hair.

Terrance:

Now, well, that was the first one. Now you start talking about people without hair. Now let me get to this last one. Did I hurt you? Wise Wheels Wander? No, you can't hurt my feelings. Sandy:

So what I'm envisioning there is something like for tourists, Like kind of like you know, instead of like the what used to be there, but what is there now? And you kind of just take the long way to everything.

Terrance:

This is not for tourists.

Sandy:

I know, but that's what I'm talking about.

Terrance:

Although some seniors can be tourists.

Sandy:

Add 30 minutes to every ride, as we, you know, take you through the streets and show you all the fun.

Terrance:

So, like I stated in the beginning, I don't think that there's enough stuff that's catered to people who are of a certain age. My goal with all of this is to come up with some concepts and provide them with the opportunity to experience some of those things that they may not otherwise experience.

Sandy:

No, I think you're right. I don't think we put enough time and effort into our older citizens. You know their wisdom, their guidance, all that good stuff.

Terrance:

What I did do is I put enough time into this closing statement for this episode about these concepts for the seniors, and I'm gonna do something that I normally don't do I'm actually gonna read my summary.

Terrance:

Okay go, don't rush me. Your golden years do not have to be dull. Remember love and laughter never age just like a fine wine or a perfectly fitting pair of dentures. Also, getting old is not just about accumulating years, but about collecting moments of joy, love and connection. Whether you're swiping right reminiscing about the good old days or embracing the quirks that come with age, know that every chapter has its own beauty. Now it's time for my reflection of the week. Don't just count the candles on your cake. Savor the sweetness of the cake itself. Embrace the wrinkles as etchings of your unique story, and let laughter lines be a testament of a well-lived life.
